My work is evolutionary: I intentionally develop it slowly and pay close attention to the ideas that have preceded. I am interested in a continuum and distrust sudden change. The art that I make is distinctly abstract and there is no aspiration for a symbolic or concrete reading. The formal structure of the paintings has the power to suggest different possibilities to the viewer, depending on his/her individual experiences and knowledge of art. My personal ambition is for the paintings to generate an internal reasoning that is exclusive to each piece, to engage me emotionally and to possess a clear sense of resolution.
